Crafted under the visionary guidance of the Italian artist Claudio Rotta Loria, the Goldmund Apologue remains an everlasting cornerstone within the annals of Goldmund’s history.
Now, introducing the Apologue by Pinel et Pinel x Kongo – a mirror image of the original Apologue, yet infused with the company’s 36 years of relentless technological advancements.
This limited edition, while maintaining its signature active design enhanced with cutting-edge technologies, is adorned in an exquisite leather sheath crafted by the renowned Parisian atelier Pinel et Pinel and hand-painted by urban artist Cyril Kongo. Celebrating creativity and imagination, this new edition emerges as a true masterpiece—an extraordinary work of art.

THE CUSTOMIZATION
Metamorphosis of a design piece into a work of art
Each speaker set is a singular masterpiece, crafted by the skilled artisans and leatherworkers of the renowned Parisian Maison Pinel et Pinel. With reverence and precision, the finest calf leathers are handpicked, inspected, and meticulously cut to form these exceptional creations.
The tops of each of the five units are elegantly dressed in Pinel et Pinel’s iconic coated canvas, while the remaining surfaces are graced by the Maison’s most exquisite white calf leather, soft yet strong, a testament to luxury.
A generous piece of leather enfolds the base and sides, with another adorning the back, each hand-assembled with patience and care. As the pieces lay flat, awaiting their transformation, celebrated artist Cyril Kongo infuses them with life. His vivid artistry, crafted with spray paint and markers, channels the vibrant energy of Pinel et Pinel’s workshops and the bold essence of the speakers themselves.
After Kongo’s work is complete and the leather has dried, each piece is delicately trimmed and stitched together by hand with a masterful saddle stitch. The harmony of hand-sewn details, the tactile beauty of the leather, and the striking originality of Kongo’s art combine to make every speaker a unique, timeless collector’s treasure.
