PRODUCT CARE
A GOLDMUND WILL THRILL YOU LIFELONG
AT GOLDMUND WE WANT TO ENSURE THAT YOUR SOUND SYSTEM PERFORMS AS WELL THROUGHOUT YOUR LIFE AS ON THE DAY OF PURCHASE. ALL YOU NEED IS TO GIVE YOUR GOLDMUND A BIT OF CARE.
CLEANING
Never manipulate your system while wearing rings, bracelets, or any other hard or sharp object that could scratch the system.
Help preserve the luster of your speakers’ frame and enclosure by cleaning them occasionally with a clean and soft microfibre cloth dampened with water or a mild detergent solution. Avoid abrasive or harsh cleansers (e.g. products containing sodium carbonate). Apply the detergent to the cloth and not directly to the system.
You can also clean the speaker wheels using a soft brush.
Never touch the drivers to avoid damaging them. If you can’t help but clean the drivers, use a mop very softly.
The golden or silver identification plate embedded in some products is plated with precious metal. Do not use any chemical solution to clean it. Simply use a clean soft microfibre cloth.
MAINTENANCE
Thanks to Goldmund expertise and the quality of the materials we use, Goldmund products require very little to no maintenance.
-
Read the instructions of your system carefully and follow the maintenance suggestions.
-
Avoid severe shocks.
-
Avoid extreme temperature variations.
-
Use the product with appropriate current or voltage.
-
Do not open the system nor change any components.
-
Keep the original packaging in case you need to return your product for servicing or if you are moving. This packaging has been specially designed to protect the product in transit. The use of alternative packaging will almost inevitably result in damage.
-
Avoid turning the product on and off too often. Electronic components age faster when under heavy stress from changes in state. To extend the lifespan of the product leave them on or use standby mode when available if you use the product daily. When you are not using the product for several days in a row turn them off completely.
-
Do not touch the speakers' drivers.
RESTORING
Goldmund’s commitment to customer service is an indispensable element of our activities. This includes our pledge to service, repair, or retore Goldmund products regardless of their age.
However, we face a major obstacle in the components supply chain for restoring classic models – electronic components obsolescence. Our engineers are consistently combating obsolete, end-of-life (EOL) parts and components. The main factor behind components becoming obsolete is lightning-fast innovation because of consumers’ increased demand for the newest, fastest, and improved technology. Please note this may limit Goldmund’s ability to restore some of its classic models simply because key spare parts and components can no longer be found in the market.
