Designing the Future
Cécile Barani, the designer of the Gaïa and the Pulp, attended the event virtually and shared insights into her creative process. Working from the speaker technical specifications (driver size, driver location, cabinet volume, etc.), design identity (signature grey aluminium finish, modern traces), and other variables provided by the Goldmund team, Cécile crafted the shape, design, and finishes of the speaker enclosures, setting a new aesthetic standard for the collection.
A Blend of Tradition and Innovation
The pioneering Apologue collection established the initial design direction for Goldmund speakers, while the new Gaïa introduces a revolutionary design language that breaks free from traditional constraints, such as the frame that held the speaker cabinets together.
Behind the Design
Notably, the Pulp’s circular design pays homage to the iconic wheels of the Apologue, which connected the speaker cabinet to its frame, signifying a blend of tradition and innovation in our design ethos.
Distinguished Guests and Firsthand Experiences
The event featured insights from Goldmund’s owner, Yohann Segala; our newly appointed CEO, Carsten Roth (since April 1st); Dr. Véronique Adam, Head of Acoustics; and Mr. Sang-Jun Na, CEO of Audio Gallery. Attendees, including patrons, press members, and other distinguished guests, enjoyed firsthand experiences with the speakers and the newly configured showroom, which also features a state-of-the-art home theatre room.
