Music Server
- The Goldmund Chiasma is basically a powerful Pentium PC Computer with a large Hard disk and a fast DVD-Rom. Most of its functions are executed by software.
- The Goldmund Chiasma is a House or Home-Theater central computer which can become the Music and Film Server of a Multi-room Ultra-High-End Wireless house Control System, or the main controller of a High-end Home Theater system.
- The Goldmund Chiasma provides Wireless Home Networking to 20 rooms. With the Goldmund Library Software, it may provide 2 channel music to a complete house, with highest Goldmund sound quality.
- The Chiasma will also be able to control the whole House appliances including lighting, drapes, screen etc.. with the Goldmund "Wireless Control Network" Software and a few accessory cards, soon to be announced.
- To be physically acceptable inside the most accurate listening rooms, the computer is made extremely silent thanks to the "Sylansª" technology, which is fully applied in the unit (low-fan and ultra low noise power supply, etc). It also receives all additional advantages in the vibration domain of its Goldmund "Mechanical Groundingª" construction.
- The external chassis is matching the look of the Mimesis 20, 22, 24 and 29.4 for perfect system integration in large Goldmund Home-Theater or Home Networking systems.
- Being based on standard computer technologies, the Chiasma is highly upgradable and will be supported by Goldmund to accept new technologies that would improve its function and distribution capability over years to come.
"Goldmund Library" Music Server Software
- The "Goldmund Library" software makes the Chiasma (or any other computer) the most powerful Music Server ever announced.
- Using the computer CD-Rom or DVD-Rom, the Goldmund Library Software may Rip any CD automatically, retrieve from Internet the title and information on this CD and store it into Hard-drive with or without compression. It provides very fast ripping (up to 15 times).
- The Compression algorithms proposed are Wave, MP3 and the AudioNetworks Kairos ultra-high quality algorithm, providing 8-10 times compression with compressed copy undistinguishable in quality from the original.
- Using the Chiasma built-in Internet link, the Music Library software allows the user to automatically download from the Web MP3, AC3, AAC and other format files.
- Gigabit Ethernet Network Storage extensibility is pushing storage capacity beyond personal use and allows the Chiasma to be used in professional music distribution centers.
- Full control of the Music Library Software may be achieved from any Wireless WebPads using standard Microsoft Win32 software.
- The Goldmund Library Software will also provide virtually unlimited access to new music with the optional access to our Goldmund private "Chiasma Club" Server facility (a typical legal Napster-like Internet Network to exchange CDs, limited to Chiasma owners).
